Hi, I'm single and nearly 40. I enjoy reading, art and going to the theatre. I
love taking my little dog for a walk although the MS sometimes limits this. I
have relapsing remitting MS, slowly progressing to secondary progressive MS. I
get tired quite a lot and walk with the aid of a stick (or two) but have kept
my sense of humour. I'd love to hear from any gal out there with similar
interests.

Hi, I was diagnosed in 2003. I had to retire from the postal service. When I
was first diagnosed it was a really confusing time for me. Body parts didn't
want to work. I've been in remission for four years. I've been with my partner
going on 24 years. I'd like to correspond with anyone who has MS, is new to it,
has any questions, etc. I'm a huge fan of lesbian fiction/ romance. Radclyffe
is absolutely my favorite author. I'd love to discuss her work or that of any
of the other authors from Bold Strokes Books. My partner and I breed German
Shepherds.

I was diagnosed with relapsing remitting MS a year ago. It's taken me a year to
deal with the initial shock and denial. My older sister was diagnosed four
years ago, so by the time I was referred to a neurologist, I pretty well knew
what was wrong. She and I have totally different symptoms. I have had no really
bad relapses. My legs and feet are numb and I have bladder issues. I have my
own business, but wonder how long I can keep it and what the future holds (one
day at a time I guess). My partner of 14 years is very supportive, but I feel I
need to communicate with other gay men and women who understand the issues and
feelings that someone in our condition has.

Hi all! I'm a single gay guy. Fortunately, I'm still reasonably active, though
it takes a while to get going in the morning! May be my age, who knows! I have
a very postive outlook on health issues, and often push myself too hard. But as
they say, use it or lose it! I keep myself amused by doing gardening, which I
find is a great stress reliever. I love cooking and socialising with friends.
We have barbeques and parties in the summer. I'm a dab hand at DIY and can fix
anything mechanical. I love classic cars and music of most types, but not jazz!
I have two rescue cats who are great companions. I'm happy to chat with
guys/gals on here, whether straight or gay. I'm easy to get along with and
don't take offence easily. So get writing!

Hi, I have had highs and lows with my MS, but right now it's in remission. I
did five years if chemotherapy to get here. It's all good. I don't work and
walk with a cane but can still drive. I've been travelling as much as money
will allow. I feel I have to use it in case I ever lose it! I have recently
travelled to England to see family, California to see friends and will soon go
to Florida before it gets too hot. It's hard to find lesbians with MS. I know
that you are out there. I have a great attitude. I feel that's half the battle!
I get steroids every six weeks. I love art and try to see and do as much of it
as my body will allow. I have a cat and a goldfish. In my past life I went to a
school for Graphic Design. I worked for Macy's as a Manager in the handbags
department. Yes a bag-free lesbian! Well, that's my story! Let's talk.

Hi, I'm in a wonderful relationship with my partner of seven years. I'm having
a lot of tests at the moment (trying to get a diagnosis). I'd love to hear from
others with the same problems. I've had a lot of weakness in my arms and legs
and other problems. It would be nice to be in touch with others going through
the same thing.

I used to be a nurse but had to quit because of MS. Now I'm a dog walker which
I love as much as I loved nursing. It took many years to diagnose me but being
a nurse and having three family members with MS I already knew I had it. I love
to keep myself busy when I'm not too fatigued. I love animals, especially dogs.
Have a dog who keeps me very busy. I like to read, do some traveling when I
can, hike through the woods and anything outdoors in the summer. I'm looking
for a webpal to chat with about anything.

I'm originally from new York, but was living in Florida when I was diagnosed in
'98 with relapsing remitting MS. I was struggling with the heat so I moved to
the west coast. I was overjoyed to find a more moderate climate here in Santa
Barbara. Before my diagnosis I had a 20 year career in the automotive field. I
enjoy sports, photography, books (on tape), cooking and pottery. I wear a brace
on my left leg because of foot drop and knee hyper-extension. I use a scooter
when necessary, as long as my vertigo doesn't present itself. I have a positive
attitude and great sense of humor. I'm looking forward to hearing from others
who 'get it' without explanation.

I'm a lesbian with a wonderful partner of 13 years. We had been living apart
for four years while she completed her PhD in Florida and I stayed back to work
in Denver. I finally moved to Orlando, Florida 15 months ago, and was diagnosed
with MS 11 months ago. I had been sick a lot the past few years with sinus
infections and pneumonia. I just thought it was bad allergies. I had a bad cold
at Christmas break last year, and then started going numb and losing feeling
throughout my body. With in a month they had a diagnosis. I grew up with my
mother having MS, so it's always been a part of my life. It was extremely
emotional and hard to see my mom go through her pain and struggles. I was
stunned to have it as well! I could take care of my mother, but now I have to
be strong to take care of myself, which seems to be very hard! Im doing
it, but it's hard to stay positive sometimes. I'd like to connect with gay men
and lesbians that have MS that just need someone to talk to, support and to be
able to talk to about my life without worry! I know other people with MS, but
no-one gay. Looking forward to meeting you!

I don't have a lot of symptoms and I'm not on any meds for MS. I work 40 hours
per week. I can retire in three years. I have a dog and a cat. Both are spoiled
rotten. I love movies, football and tennis. I play guitar and sing. I love

I'm a lesbian MS survivor! I'm on no meds yet but my doctor is still trying to
push me. I'm walking a little slower, sometimes with a cane for stability while
out shopping. I love to shop, dance (when i can), cook, music and reading to
name a few of my passions. I'm taking classes online for my degree. Feel free
to email me for chatting, I'd love it!

It hit me like a freight train, unexpectedly and overnight. My journey started
with the surprise of partial blindness on waking one summer day in 2005. It was
the day I met my new companion, Optic Neuritis, a companion I was eager to
distance myself from, yet it became a more and more dominant part of my life.
After two years of almost constant inflammation of the optic nerves, my vision
has been severely disabled. I was a successful computer professional before MS,
now there are days when I can't read the text on a 7' projector screen. I'd
been engaged to marry a woman with whom I was deeply in love (we were together
seven years). At the time this happened I was also struggling to come to terms
with my bisexuality, which was difficult enough on its own. After a year of
becoming more and more sick, and not having a diagnosis, the weight was too
much to bear and I told my fiancee that I was bisexual. She left me and I've
been alone in this struggle for a year now. It's pretty hard, especially to be
hit with rejection. The fatigue, vision problems, heat sensitivity and
depression are things I struggle to deal with every day, and the feeling of
being worthless because of my health and sexual orientation are overwhelming.
I'd very much like to meet another bisexual or gay man with MS to put things
into perspective.

I'm a single, mixed race African American woman. I've had really bad symptoms:
falling over, slurring words, vertigo, partial dropping of one side of my face
and vision problems. When I started taking Avonex all that went away. I now
have symptoms only when it's hot or I'm stressed. I have a hard time meeting
women for dating. I always think, who will want me with MS? I rescued a boxer
(dog). The love I get from her is not the same but if I end up alone I'm OK.
I'm persuing modeling again and wonder if and when i should tell them I have
MS. Should I? Thanks for hearing me out. It's nice to know there's family out
there living with MS (I thought I was by myself).

I'm a gay man with two kids. I just wanna chat to others to find out how they
manage. I have primary progressive MS. I find it hard to keep awake and have
bad fatigue. I manage to ice dance when I can afford it. I'd love to have an MS
ice dance league, or am I asking too much?! I'd love to chat to anyone in the
UK, USA or Canada... well, anywhere really!

Hello everyone! I'm an active woman who loves being involved with the
community. Right now I have one more year of schooling left before I receive my
degree in Interior Design. Before that I was in the medical field, but had to
return to school after my diagnosis. I love what I'm learning and am excited to
be almost done with school. I'd love to meet others with MS to chat and talk
about whatever. If anyone wants to chat, just drop me a line.
