8th Birthday Meet!

What a wonderful time we had!

On Saturday 6 September 2003, 30 members of Jooly's Joint from around the UK converged on the town of Nuneaton to celebrate the 8th birthday of Jooly's Joint!

The venue was the Griff House Beefeater, Coventry Road, Nuneaton. Many thanks to the staff of Griff House for looking after us so well!

Dessert was sponsored by Ben & Jerry's!

The lovely people at Ben & Jerry's are donated a FREE ice cream to everyone at the party!!

This lovely lady is Chris Oddy from Nuneaton. It was Chris's idea to hold the party in her home town.

Chris organised just about everything, and made sure we all had a wonderful evening. Thank you so much Chris!

Highlights from the evening included:

• Catching up with old friends and making new ones.
• 35 tubs of ice cream provided for free by Ben 'n' Jerry's - enough for everyone!
• Jooly announcing at the end of the evening that the entire meal had been paid for by a mystery sponsor!
• The kind words and contributions from everyone who was there.
• An absolutely fabulous birthday cake featuring the Jooly's Joint logo, made for us by Chris's friend (picture soon!).
• Chris had decorated the restaurant with '8th birthday' balloons and party poppers and they looked wonderful it made Jooly cry!
• Everyone who planned to attend did - and everyone says they had an even more enjoyable time than they had expected! (This includes partners who feared they would be bored - no chance!)
• Chris was in her local paper!
